Open Days/Visit Us

We are hugely proud of our school and are always happy to welcome visitors. The earliest formal opportunity is our Open Week from Monday 24th – Friday 28th June 2019. This will see our prospective 2019 Year 7 intake attend a day at school on Monday 24th, following which parents and carers are invited to a presentation later that evening in Aquinas Hall.

Complementing this opportunity, we are hosting two taster days for Year 5 students from our Catholic feeder schools on Thursday 20th June and Friday 21st June, with parents and carers invited to a presentation that evening in Aquinas Hall. This offers an early opportunity to forge links prior to our Open Evening in the autumn term. Parents and carers of students not from our Catholic feeder schools who are interested in attending are encouraged to contact the school.

Our annual Open Evening for prospective students and their parents is an opportunity to become familiar with all that students can expect to enjoy at St John Payne Catholic School. This year it will be held on Thursday 3rd October 2019 from 5.30-8.00p.m. There will be opportunities to hear from the Headteacher, with tours available under the guidance of students, who along with staff will be happy to respond to any request or query you may have. The evening always provides a wonderful showcase of the fantastic provision students enjoy.

Whilst the above occasions offer a wealth of insight and information, there is no better means of gaining insight into life at St John Payne than to visit during the working day to experience the school in all its vibrancy and colour. The weeks following our summer open week and autumn term open evening naturally lend themselves to a visit. However, we encourage visits year round whenever is convenient for you, and can assure you there are always willing students eager to showcase their school. They serve as wonderful ambassadors, and truly are the school’s greatest advocates.

We look forward to welcoming you.
